Delta Air Lines partnered with Gensler and Design By Melo on the MSP Airside Modernization Project at Terminal 1 of the Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport, a large-scale, multi-year initiative focused on modernizing customer-facing concourses throughout the airport. The project was designed to elevate the passenger experience through updated holdrooms, circulation spaces, wayfinding, branding, accessibility, and integrated customer support environments while maintaining ongoing airport operations throughout phased construction.

Working alongside Gensler, Design By Melo contributed to a collaborative design approach centered on functionality, constructability, passenger experience, and long-term operational efficiency. The modernization effort emphasized cohesive architectural design, upgraded finishes and lighting, enhanced seating and technology integration, and coordination with Delta and the Metropolitan Airports Commission to support a seamless and contemporary travel environment.
