Jon Wollak, AIA

Jon comes to the firm as a bit of a rogue architect Hawaiian shirts instead of black ones. He graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Architecture. He attended the university’s study abroad program in Rome where he received a grant for an independent sculpture study which he combined with a series of crazy model building endeavors. Along with his great design sense, Jon is savvy within the BIM (Building Information Modeling) component of the profession, having worked in Revit since 2007. Since starting this type of work, the projects he has been involved with cover the full spectrum; from large-scale hospital additions and standalone sports complexes, to elementary school classroom additions and residential bathrooms, and almost everything in between.

Jessica Ruzzicone, RA

Jessica Ruzzicone has a Master’s Degree in Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology and is a Registered Architect in the state of Minnesota. In 2016, she founded her architectural design and consulting business. Recognizing a need within the architecture industry for consultants who could supplement existing staff levels during busy periods or who possessed a specialized skill that was needed periodically, Jessica decided her organizational skills and design and drafting expertise made her ideally suited to provide these. Her roster of clients includes sole proprietorships and some of the largest architecture firms in Minnesota. Jessica’s work spans the gamut from schematics to specifications, from design to detailing, with her technical acumen providing the common thread throughout.

Andrea Hammel Wollak, AIA

In the third grade, Andrea developed a passion for the idea of treading lightly upon the earth. Or in today’s green dialect, an awareness of her carbon footprint. In the eighth grade, after two drafting classes, Andrea knew she wanted to be an architect. She later realized how important communication is, though not nearly as much fun as drawing. The combination of these things along with looking at things a little differently has led her to a love for and career in design and sustainable practices. Andrea graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Architecture. She attended the university’s study abroad program in Rome and has focused on sustainable architecture throughout her years of studio work. She continues her pursuit of educating her clients about where their products come from and how efficiently their building performs. During the past decade, Andrea’s work experience has run the full gamut, including, an 80 square foot bathroom remodel in N.Y.C., construction management on a 5,000 square foot Palladian style villa in New Jersey, and a 273,000 square foot interior design and documentation of a new casino facility in Wisconsin. She’s also completed a 1.45 million square foot casino back-of-house programing and life safety planning in New Jersey and facility management of a company in Minnesota.
