St. Paul Urban Tennis

Saint Paul Urban Tennis (SPUT) is a youth-centered organization dedicated to educating and empowering young people through tennis, community engagement, and youth development programming. Since 1991, SPUT has served more than 65,000 children across the Saint Paul area, growing from a small local initiative into a longstanding community partner that provides free and low-cost programming throughout the city.

Design By Melo is collaborating on the vision for SPUT’s proposed Eastside Youth Empowerment and Tennis Center, a transformative community-focused facility designed to expand access to recreation, education, and wellness opportunities on Saint Paul’s Eastside. The project envisions a large-scale indoor tennis and community center integrated with new public park space, emphasizing sustainability, operational efficiency, and meaningful community engagement throughout the design process.
